Ok, so I don't have a Mac (although I really wish I did - anyone wanna let me borrow theirs?! hahahahaha) but can anyone reccommend a relatively good video editing program?

Windows Movie Maker is subpar at best. Adobe Premiere can be difficult to work/don't have too much time to download it and learn how to work it well... although I've dabbled with this program before.

I basically have to make a wedding video for my girlfriend who was just married in Jamrock and I'd like something that has some decent effects without being overly cheesy. I've made tons of videos before but am getting bored with the basics... Merci :)

Final Cut Pro? Not sure if you're willing to pay for it. lol

I can download anything ;) but unless my PC turns into a Mac... I'm SOL.

Haha, then that's probably your best bet. I think all video editors swear by that program. I used it while I was at Humber, took me a while to get used to it but I'm not into post production. lol

As you mentioned, Premiere is great, but only if you have time to learn it - which is admittedly a hassle.

A very well-featured and also easy-to-use editing program is Sony Vegas.

Just be careful if you were to use a... "questionable" copy of it. Before I purchased Premiere I (for a time) used such a copy and while the features of the program were great, it had a bad tendency of corrupting the save file as soon as the video length exceeded about 5~6 minutes. (not knowing this lead to a 4-5 hour group project taking 16+ hours intead, lol)

If you don't have/want Premiere I'd heartily recommend it though.

I usually use Sony Vegas coupled with Sony DVD Architect. I find it more user friendly than Premiere.

I'm playing with Sony Vegas Pro now. You can learn it quite fast with the built-in tutorials.

Hmm I will also check out Sony Vegas. It is a Sony Camera... does that benefit me at all too?! lol
