View Full Version : Will Magnaflow be quieter then MS accessory exhaust?

Hello

I have a MS Accessory exhaust for my Mz3 Hatch and I find thta it's kinda loud inside the car. So I'm wondering if I swap it to a magnaflow would it be much quieter? And would I lose any performance?

I got my magnaflow muffler installed on Friday and I can confirm that it is quieter. You shouldn't lose any performace. If anything, I think my exhaust flows out easier now that my muffler isn't all mangled inside (was rattling like crazy!). I can't hear the exhaust on the highway anymore (no drone).

what were u using before? And did u cange just the muffler or the whole exhaust?

The only difference is I have the MS Accessory exhaust not the MS3 exhaust

I have the MS Accessory but with a magnaflow muffler. I purchased a 6" round, straight 2.25" pipe design.

by just changing the muffler part it got quieter?

Yes. You can PM Royo if you're skeptical. He's sat in my car with the MS Accessory muffler and with the new Magnaflow. He couldn't believe how much more quiet it was now and how there was absolutely no drone in the cabin on the highway.

I have the MS Accessory but with a magnaflow muffler. I purchased a 6" round, straight 2.25" pipe design.

I run the MS Accessory piping with 6" round magna muffler as well. It was actually pretty quiet until I added a header to the mix.

It should have 2.25" inlet/outlet if you're using the MS Accessory piping.

I'm pretty sure the mazdaspeed3 piping is 2.5", but it shouldn't be an issue adding a magnaflow muffler.

direct fitted to my MS Accessory exhaust.
Sounds different but not by a lot.
It sounds a lil quieter then b4 but i`m sure in 2 weeks it`ll get quieter.

let me know how it sounds in 2 weeks. i want to run this too but if it doesnt make much of a noise difference i rather not shell out the money
