Been into bikes for the last 20 years, on the street and track. Sold my Hayabusa this spring, tired of the riding bikes on the street now. So picked up a 07 black Speed3 last week. All stock right now. I wanted a more year round toy for the street. So to keep management happy street bike had to go. I will probably pick up a track bike next year especially if the new grand bend road course gets finished. The camp ground my trailer is in, is half hour from there.
I make sure to search before I ask any dumb a$$ questions.

Thanks for the welcomes. Love this car. Been driving the same 1996 Cavalier since new. 320,000 km. Stuff was fallin off it. Didn't really car about the car since I had a bike. Now I have a 365 day a year toy.

Congrats on the new toy! Stock huh? Needs a RMM and SRI for sure... two largest bang for the buck mods, IMO.

Welcome! I too recently got a '07 speed3 so I know the sudden fun that comes with it.
Yes, RMM = Rear Motor Mount and SRI = Short Ram Intake. RMM is a huge help. Still don't have SRI yet but soon I hope :D

Does this replace an existing mount? Or is it an addition to? What are the benefits?

Replaces existing. Short answer is it makes it stiffer than stock of which the benefits (to me) mean shifting feels a bit more smooth and more power to the road. Downside is the vibrations are more pronounced specially with the AC on. Comparing the 2 when seeing them both, the stock is pretty small/weak compared to the one I got (CP-e 75 Duro).
Best bet is to come over to the MazdaSpeed section and start reading up there :chuckle
Here's a decent set of info on RMM - http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?51077-NEW-Rear-Engine-Mounting-ANY-GOOD

Yeah, it will feel that way for about a week, then the vibrations will tone down noticeably as the mount is broken in.

Haven't missed the bike yet this year since getting the MS3. That may change when I go to check out the new Grand Bend track with my track day buddy.
