I thought the Wii looked sucky and had no chance of competing when it launched, but it did quite ok.
I think this thing looks nice and innovative but I'm not sure it will appeal to the masses the way the Wii did. The Wii was simple and intuitive. This control scheme looks more complex to me and might have a harder time catching on.

The Wii attracted the casual consumer to the market with its ease of use. Once they all got their systems and got bored, Wii sales dropped. For 2010 and so far for 2011, the 360 has been the top selling console (thanks in part to Kinect.....again, to attract the casual consumer).

Depending on price and ease of use, the Wii U may be a hard sell but then everyone underestimated the wii when it first came out.

I actually think this is pretty cool...being able to play Mario on the TV, stop, take the controller with me when I am going to drop a deuce, and keep playing!

If I could do that with Halo I would be set!

Wii U sounds a trillion times better then PS Vita...just sayin.
