View Full Version : FTA Satellite
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable (trustworthy) company in the GTA for Free-To-Air satellite service and equipment. I'm thinking of getting set up on a system, but I don't know where to start. I need to get information on pricing for equipment and installation before I make a decision.
PMs are welcomed if you want to discuss any options for FTA service.

You can buy a FTA receiver and dish off of ebay and your on your way.. but I think the receiver has to be connected to the internet... I dont know anymore I gave up on FTA after Nag3

Was it a serious pain in the ass to maintain and use?

well before Nag2 it was good than Nag2 came and it went to shit but came back..(after 5 months or so) and now its not worth my time.. Nag3 you need to use IKS to get something out of it connected to the internet (not very safe)

FTA has never gone away. Its easy to set up if you are using it for its indented purposes of picking up true Free to Air stations, just make sure you have a clear line of site to the satellites.
If you are getting it for the what it wasn't intended to do, well good luck. It's not hard by any means but being plugged into the net and key sharing isn't reliable, also you must be very selective in what receiver you get. It's an expensive hobby and most just pay for a sub anyways.
