Dropped off the 1996 Crap-a-lier off at the wreckers at noon today. Got $310 for it, no gas in it, barely oil, and 15 years worth of dirt and stink. I don't think I washed it for the last 7 to 8 years. Not sad to see it go at all. Down to just the Speed 3 now. After 2 weeks with it, I like this car even more. The excuses that I can use on the wife for mods are already starting to build up in my head......

Did you get to watch them wreck your car? My friend had a white cavalier (I think, it was some kind of GM-made POS sedan along the same lines) and he bought it new at the time. That thing leaked oil and coolant on a regular basis after a couple years. The final straw came when the latest repair quote came in at $2000 (after the first 3 repairs did nothing to fix the problem). He got rid of it and bought a new RAV4... no problems whatsoever from 2005 until now, and still going strong.

didn't watch them crush it. I'm sure they will let it sit and strip it for parts over time. Should have gone in a 4 cyl demo durby.

Ya. Guy didn't even look at it. I probably should have tried harder to get some more cash on Kijiji, but I just wanted it outta the friggin driveway. Was leaving a big orange spot from all the rust.

Depends whether you slow down to avoid jarring your teeth on every bump.... or swerve all over the road trying to avoid them!
