hi guys... please keep an eye out for a 2006 Honda CRV SE, grey, with roof rack, side step bars, window visors, OEM hard plastic spare tire cover, and also the famous nextmod flameboy on the lower left side of the back glass/windshield. it's my vehicle that my family uses. i know there's millions of CRV's out there so i guess the only distinguishing mark would be the flameboy, unless the thief removes it.. but just in case you see one that matches the description above, kindly leave me a pm of its whereabouts. Thanks guys.. appreciate it..
The car was stolen yesterday afternoon June 21, 2011, while parked on my office parking lot on West Beaver Creek in Richmond Hill. Plate # AT__886

This is really bad... Just a few months ago somebody else posted something about a civic and an integra being stolen... I work in the area and will try to keep my eye out... Good luck though!

I'll be looking as well. Best of luck on your cars safe return.
Just out of curiosity have you contacted York Regional and Toronto Police?
Reason I strongly recommend this is because, those parking enforcement vehicles also get a list of stolen vehicles - any matches will be reported!
Nevermind

any security cameras?
bunchi

Yes the incident is already reported to York police.
No cams yet as we have just moved to this bldg... First victim... I had my rear driver side window smashed before in my old workplace, and now this... Aaaaaaarrggghhh
Yeah i know the car might not be in the area anymore, but just in case :). I know tm3 members are all over the place :).
Thanks..

I'm kinda surprised to hear a car stolen in that area, it's all commercial. I guess it's probably pretty dead during the morning work hours.
Is it just me or has there been more then the usual amount of cars being stolen?
Makes me wonder if I should get some sort of aftermarket alarm.
Will def be on the lookout for a flameboy CRV

Another Honda CRV was stolen a few days ago from my mom's workplace which is in the HWY7 area. It might be a good idea for anyone that owns a Honda CRV and parks it in the Markham/Richmond Hill area to take extra precautions.

Hwy7 isn't that safe. Lots of cars due to the work force all needing to drive so it attracts the bad elements.
My friend had his RSX-S stolen from his driveway middle of the night 2 years back. He got up at 5 to go to work his brother went to sleep at 3 cause he's in law school and work late hours. Both of their bedrooms faces the front of the house. So in the space of 2 hours someone came and took the car right off their driveway. So clearly they have been cased ahead of time and someone was waiting to get the exact car.
That's why I make sure I get in early enough to park in our underground parking. Mind you we have cameras everywhere so it's a lot less likely for a thief to try it even on out outside lot.

ouch:( My car was stolen in Barrie years ago. Was the worst 30 days of waiting for insurance to payout! The day they paid me, my car was found. However at that point the insurance company owned it. Then i bought a mazda3 lol.
They steal the CRV's for the motor, as its easy to sell for money. Insurance company told me 90% of these imports get taken right to Vancouver and dumped on a ship for Africa and will never be seen again. Sorry for your loss but thank god for insurance at times like this. Btw invest in an alarm system, creeps cant even walk a foot near my car without my civic yelling back at them!

My friend's 06 Rav4 got stolen a month ago around 14th and Warden when his mother was at work.
I also told him that because his car was a newer SUV type vehicle, it was most likely on a container to a country with a high demand for these types of vehicles.
Hope insurance pays out well for you, my buddy got hosed cause his mom just switched them over to liability only prior to theft.

here's the pic of the car, but without the bike rack and bike when it was stolen, and it now tinted 20% all around... you get the idea... didn't take a lot of pics of this car...

So after 2.5 wks, i will be going to see the adjuster from johnson to pick up a cheque for the stolen crv. 15xxx + tax and deductible waived, plus they give back the depreciation of the car for the last 24 months. Gonna be looking for a used family minivan now.... I'm happy that the insurance company didn't give me headaches even though i was with them for less than 2 weeks when the car was stolen! Still sad if i think about the car being chopped to pieces...:(

GM cars with the glow ring around the ignition can be stolen VERY easily. ESPECIALLY the older Jeep Grand Cherokees. You can literally use a metal spoon .... So I've heard

Advice: Don't buy any GM vehicle with a glow ring around the ignition.
Observation: Every GM vehicle has a glow ring around the ignition.
i.e. The comment is a euphemism for "all GM cars are garbage". :chuckle
EDIT: Hmm, wasn't familiar with Default's interpretation. Interesting.

Can't remember the exact time frame - but the Cherokee was THE #1 vehicle stolen 2 years in a row, and within the top 10 for 6 years.
I speculate it was worth more for replacement parts than trying to ship overseas like most other stolen vehicles

Yeah, scratch my comment.
Was reading up on the issues with models that included the illuminated ring... You know it's bad when you find threads on forums in which people are thinking of modding/adding additional systems to their stock ignition wiring to make it less easy to start.
