Hello!
I stumble across this community in need of assistance... I`m going bonkers trying to find the solution. Here is the information you`ll be looking for:

Vehicle: 2006 Mazda 3, 2.3L, hatchback

Back at the beginning of winter, when my passenger would put their window down, it wouldn`t come back up. I (the driver) would start to put the window up and then the passenger would be able to do it from here. As time came around, it seemed like it was less and less likely for the passenger front window to be rolled up until the day it was `stuck` down.

Work I have done thus far:
At first, I pulled apart the passenger door. I ensured there was power going in the switch, and that there was power leaving the switch. Everything seemed fine. I was able to trace the power being pushed into the motor. This told me 'Well... It must be the motor!' So I put it on hold for a month or so, purchased a new motor... and low and behold, I'm back at step 1 again...

I'm a little confused though, the wiring doesn't make much sense to me. I've got a direct connection from the passenger switch to the window motor(down), but the 'up' connection seems to go back into the vehicle (my assumption is that it goes to the driver's side?) -- What baffles me the most though, is that the passenger side only has 2 cables going into the motor, and I'm assuming one of them is for a ground... the other is coming straight from the passenger power switch... What I'm confused about, is how the motor gets the signal to put the window back up!.

Putting that aside, through my research on this site, I was able to find the 'reset power window' thing, useful as it is -- it did not help me... I've also checked the fuses and changed them around and nothing has changed in the meaning of function.

I was however, able to determine that on the driver's panel, when I do 'up' or 'down' it seems that there are 2 different wires that get triggered for the up, none for the down... but the window has yet to move. I can't do a full reset on this side of the vehicle, because the window doesn't go up period. (I've held the button for almost a minute to ensure it's not a delay).

I'm going to tinker with the driver's panel, but if you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them! :D
