I had used Mazdaspeed accessory shocks/struts and Eibach prokit springs installed last fall. After getting an alignment done at the end of April, I've been hearing a weird sound coming from my front right strut. It's hard to describe, it's a squishy sound, almost like the strut or spring is compressing. It occurs whenever I reverse (at normal speed) while turning the steering wheel all the way to the left, and only at the very end (completion of my reverse). However, if I turn slowly enough then there's no weird sound.
Was in for an oil change at a mechanic nearby my work today and asked him to take a quick look. He was able to recreate the sound when reversing and turning left, but couldn't recreate it when the car was up on the hoist. He couldn't see anything visually wrong with the strut. I didn't have time to spare so he didn't investigate any futher.
I did a search, and the thread linked below seems like a similar situation, but still hoping to get some advice.
