Yeah, thank goodness there's A/C or else I would have died in this heat.. I go out for about 5 minutes and I'm sweating already..
It says on The Weather Channel that it feels like 41 in Scarborough... I don't think I'd be going out anytime soon....

I grew up in a tropical country , so I always welcome heat. I've played tennis in 40 degree weather before with a buddy and I was fine.

Don't feel it unless I go out....
Condo = central AC
Car = parked underground and car has good AC
Work = Freezing AC with indoor parking.
Only time I'm under the heat is when I have to go buy stuff at shops, grocery or gas stations.

@ zumi: me too i grew up in a tropical country but after 10 years in a northen country I lost that compliance to heat!
@skymp3: show-off :p
@phil: same here! only the skin behind the watch is still in winter shade mode!:)

Meh....I like the heat. Makes my beer taste that much better
The extreme heat alert is more for those that plan to be outdoors for that day. Who's planning a camping trip tomorrow, or plans to be at Wonderland in this heat?
I'm more concerned for seniors and babies that need to be outdoors for extended periods of time...and don't forget pets.

My gf works for a dermatologist, one of the best in canada. He sends home sunscreen and other stuff all the time for me. So needless to say I'm stocked up. I even have It for my lips.

Today it may possibly get to 50C+ with the humidex!! Glad I'm off this week.You guys wanna talk hot, try servicing buses in a garage full of hot buses and no AC.Probably lose a litre of water every hour...it sucks big-time.I'll take the cold over this shit anyday.

I for one happen to like snowstorms, just don't like driving/sharing the road in them. :)

^ I really don't mind this weather.
I rather have this then -30 with snowstorms. We shouldn't complain!
I would like it better if I actually got to enjoy the heat, like go to the beach or something! Instead I spend all day inside then leave just to go home around dinner time and die of heat... boourns.

We're current crossing the northern US through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Dakota, hottest place so far was in Yellowstone National Park about 83*F, but no one seems to mind. See here for some pics at the park

For those that go south in the summer (Cancun, Cuba, etc.) isnt this the normal temperature in these "desired" vacation locations?

I went to Cuba last August (end of August) and it was 50degrees+ everyday, trying to eat breakfast at 8am and sweating into your food was no fun, but emptying the swim up bar of vodka was :)
The humidity wasn't as bad, but it was still there.

Well.... I'm wearing a sweater right now! I'm on the bottom floor in the middle of the building... and the A/C is set to keep the window offices and the upstairs at a reasonable temperature. So my area is friggin' cold.
But I am really happy I have A/C in my car... last two didn't.

Raining won't really help. It'll only release the heat from the roads/concrete, then it'll evaporate - leaving more steamy air...
I say just enjoy it.

No rain until late saturday and early sunday predicted, I heard that on the radio, and just checked to confirmed on cp24 site. The weather network is worse, doesn't predict rain til monday.

I guess we'll just have to suck it up and live with it... It's really ok for now as it's not really affecting me yet.. Office is cool enough so that's good.
On the other hand, I retract my previous comment about hoping it rains. If it rains, I'll have to go out, and close the car's windows, which means I'll be cooked for about a minute..
Man, I got to stop complaining about this heat. It's not like I've never seen anything worst... :chuckle

I actually had to park in our overflow lot because I was late today, which means about a 5-10minute walk in this weather.
I had the a/c so cold in the truck when I got out my glasses fogged up.
And our office has the a/c on full boar, its great....and if that isn't cold enough I will just sit in one of the datacenters for a while lol.
Made sure to move my dog's crate in front of the a/c at home before I left with a fan blowing on her.
