Not sure if this is a re-post but I received a letter today from Mazda about the Windshield Wiper Motor Voluntary Safety recall.
The problem seems to be:
"On certain Mazda3 and Mazdapseed3 vehicles, the ground terminal of the windshield wiper motor may have been inadvertently bent during assembly. If this condition exists, then over time the electrical resistance of the motor circuit may increase up to a point which would result in an inoperative wiper motor. The loss of wiper function in adverse weather could potentially increase the risk of a crash."
Looks like it only applies to 2008 - 2009 Mazda3 and Mazdaspeed3 Vehicles....
I'm going to take it to Mazda of Toronto right away and have it fixed....
Has anyone else received this recall letter ? How quick and easy was the fix at the dealership you took it too?
thanks.
