Hi all,
Will be lending my car to a relative to do their driving test. Should I/can I get insurance for just the day of the test? Also, I have the DRL/independent fog mod on my car, will my relative run into any problems or should I just tell them to turn the headlight system on manually?

When you lend or allow someone to drive your car your are extending your insurance to cover them.
Sooooo if your relative wrecks your car during their test and are found at fault your insurance pays and it goes as an at fault agianst you.

The examiners won't care about this, just make sure the DRL are on, either the headlights or the fogs. The vehicle defects that the are looking are listed here:

Make sure you teach them how to use your lights, and it should be fine.

Don't get soo concerned with the lights. Just tell them to leave all the lights off. If your car is lowered they cannot use the car. You shouldn't use any modded car for a driving test, they can refuse to test you in that vehicle. And if they do allow it, chances are they're going to be much more scrutinous than usual.
Your safest bet for a driving test is to use a simple 4 door car, like a corolla or civic, etc. Every driving instructor I've talked to has said to stay away from using modded cars, minivans, suv's, jeeps, etc.
