Does anyone know where to get the best rate for cargo van rentals?
I need one for 1 night 2 days and I've looked at Uhaul / Discount / Enterprise. The prices seem outrageous.
I need to travel 575km in total and the prices are something like 300 - 400 bucks.
Have you tried penski truck rentals?

Budget is usually pretty good for cargo vans

Ugh Budget is always the most expensive... big rip off.
I used to get mine from National (I moved a lot when I was in TO lol) I think I paid $75 at the time, this was a few years back though. Also, if I remember correctly, mileage was included.

Alot of places include "in town mileage" but as soon as you do over a certain point its insane no matter who you go with.
My dad used Ryder and a lot when we did moves on the side.
500km+ will not be cheap with anyone unfortunately.

Mine was from Barrie to Ottawa at the time ;)
My mom scored the deal, but again this was like 3 years ago. And I see now that a few national rental places have shut down since... try calling around anyway!

Another option to consider is the weekend-special pricing on something like a Dodge/Chrysler minivan with the "Stow & Go" seats.
Doesn't have the sheer space of a cargo van, but it is fairly considerable and is also much more reasonably priced than the full-size vans.

Thanks guys, I ended up calling around and went to Discount Rentals.
$50 for the day + 25.99 (some mandatory fee) + $10 for 3000km +$15 because I'm not 25
Not bad I guess, cheapest deal I found.

Good to know for the future. What is the size of the van? Just wondering how much it can hold.
