A great loss for all Canadians. Regardless of any individual's position, I think we can all agree that Jack did whatever he felt was necessary to make sure voices were heard in the House of Commons each and every day he was in attendance.

Rest in peace.

My condolences to his family and friends. Though I have never supported the NDP, Jack always stuck by his guns and what he believed in. That earns him my respect.

He had style, charisma always did what he thought was best for Canadians. Truly a great leader (and loved the stache)!

Didn't always agree with the political policies, or some of his professional actions, but I'm very saddened to hear of his passing. He was certainly the most charismatic politician in federal politics recently, and seemed the most genuine leader of all the federal parties. You will be missed Jack.

My feeling exactly, more and more in the past couple years he became more of a CANADIAN leader, leader for the people. He was starting to grow on me, NDP will not be the same without him

Very well said. Jack will be missed by all Canadians whether they realize it or not. To quote from Jack's final words "love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world."

Goodbye Jack
