I'll never forget seeing one of these while on my trip to Victoria BC.
Didn't get a glimpse of the badging, but saw it was a coupe, had single round headlights and dual oval grille. Haven't been able to get it out of my head since. Not sure when and how I made the connection, but I eventually figured out the model.
So I've decided that if all goes well, when I'm done with my 3, I'll be buying a beater Civic and one of these:

Maybe mod it... most likely just restore. Just thought I'd share my little dream :)

Ah, a photo of a 2002, taken in the year 2002. I've read the older round-tail-lights model are more desirable. I'd be happy with any-tail-lights. Too bad our roads and our winters would probably kill the car. :-(

@Sawatsky - Go for it! Might be tricky and expensive, but you'll have fun an learn a lot along the way. :)

That's why (as Sawatsky mentioned) you buy an old Civic or something to use as a winter beater. :thumbsup

I don't know... I've hit some potholes in the summer that were so big I had to look around me to see if anything fell off the car. It's almost "wrong" to subject an old car to that.
An E30 M3, on the other hand, is probably just the right blend of "brick sh!thouse", "vintage", and "OMG YOU'RE GONNA KILL US ALL". :cool

Ya the BMW 2002 is sweet! If I had the money, I would definitely try to get a e30 M3. Oh well, in the meantime, my E30 will have to do.

haha, I know it'll be tough to find a decent one... especially in 5 or so years when I'll actually be looking. Would also "settle" (lol) for an e21 or e9... but then again I know I'll always want the 2002.
