So, I want to be lower by next summer. I know I could get coils, but are there any springs that will provide a 2" drop?

What is the lowest you can drop a 1st gen on springs?

i'll ask one of my friends who took his springs to a shop (which i forgot) to have the springs compressed so the car sits lower.

Hey I actually have a set of Sportlines for sale (04-09). They are GWN's old springs and I was going to stick them on my car, but decided to go for the 2010's.
They have 10k on them. Send a pm if interested
Price: $150

Yeah, I think I like the sportline drop, but I've seen a few cars where the rears begin to sag over time. RM's are probably what I'd be most interested in, but I can't find any good shots of 3's with them installed to see for sure.

Hmm, that's interesting. I'd be worried that doing that would totally mess with the spring rates and I'd end up with really unpredictable suspension.

May be interested... although as I said to GWN, I'm worried that sportlines will sag in the rear.

Is it worth it to drop 2" on springs? How's the ride quality compare to coils when you drop that low?
The only thing I'm worried about is that I've been running on stock struts (and pro kits) for almost 40k, and I'm worried they're on their way out, especially with the extra drop.

Your stocks won't last with Sportlines. I had yellows, and ya I thought my rear end started to sag on sportlines (signature) but some people said it was all in my head.

The shop Phil is talking about is Droptec it is what Steven used

My buddy has had his car lowered about 1.5-1.8/9 front and back for about 2-3 years now and is still on stock struts.

Yeah I was lowered on stock struts until late august this year, ran at 1.8" drop for about 14 months and around 2.6" for 4 months, noticed nooo sagging at all. The sportlines will get you to 2" I think, but my suggestion would be go coils, get hellaflush :D

I ran Canuck Motorsports springs which were about a 2" drop as well. I was on Mazdaspeed shocks though which helped stiffen things up a bit.
