BTW, the guy in the suit is the driver of the car. He doesn't help. Some say he's in shock, others are calling him a douche.

Pretty remarkable... anymore story on if the guy made it?
Always risky moving someone right after an accident.

my thought exactly
a dangerous environment to be in hurt under a burning car. but true could have done some more damage in dragging a person if they are badly injured.
I'd rather drag the guy out than let him burn under there. But what can you do really... go with ur gut in that instant.

I would have pulled him out.....if left under there, he would have burned to death for sure. At least by getting him out of there, there is a chance of survival and paramedics doing something.

+1. They didn't have a choice. They had to pull him out or he would have burned to death.

<---- Has tonnes of first aid/first responder training military and otherwise.
Yeah, theres always the "don't move someone" after an injury but EVERYTHING > death. If they are clearly still in danger, NO MATTER WHAT the first step in saving someone is to get them to safety before you can treat them. As frightening as it is, once they realized they werent getting the car up and over he did the right thing by getting him out. He could have been more gentle but you can blame him in the heat of the moment.
Broken neck/ some sort of rehab injury / anything is better than being burned alive under a car.

ha. :rolleyes at myself.
Totally agree with Strongjag though. I think anyone who's ever had first aid training is taught to evaluate the safety of a situation before you can go about treating anyone. This guy was clearly not in a safe situation, so kudos to the bystanders who got him out. They saved his life without any first aid at all.

This was pretty intense.. Notice how that guy on the left, wearing a suit was just standing there...
I wonder if the guy was ok in the end.....

I'm not saying I wouldn't have moved the person myself. Just curious the final outcome.

A Logan motorcyclist rescued when several good samaritans lifted a burning car off of him had been stabilized in critical condition Tuesday.
Brandon Wright, 21, had been flown to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray shortly after his eastbound motorcycle collided with a BMW sedan about 11:40 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 89 in Logan.
Assistant Logan Police Chief Jeff Curtis said the accident occurred when the BMW, exiting a parking lot across the street from the Utah State University campus, drove in front of Wright’s bike. Wright and his bike then slid into and under the car.
The bike caught fire when its gas line ruptured, and the flames spread to the BMW. Passersby saw Wright wedged underneath the car. Several of them, despite the flames, rushed to lift the car off of Wright while others pulled him out by his feet.
Curtis said Wright suffered broken bones, cuts and burns. The driver of the BMW was not injured.
Firefighters quickly doused the flames and Wright was rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter.
The crash remained under investigation Tuesday.
Tyler Riggs, who identified himself as a cousin of Wright’s, stated Tuesday that Wright had undergone surgery Monday night and was expected to recover, though it would be a long recuperation.
"Brandon was able to meet with family Monday night and said he is very humbled, and owes so many people his life," Riggs said. "Brandon and our entire family would like to express our deep gratitude to all the people who stopped at the crash scene . . . to help rescue Brandon."
For now, Wright and his family, citing the need for rest and recovery, were declining interview requests.
The BMW driver is an a**hole. He cared too much about his suit getting wrinkled/dirty and worrying about insurance costs.

some dude wrote this in comments section on youtube and its true.
playing devil's advocate here, the car's owner was plainly in shock. people calling him a piece of shit have obviously never been in a major accident. when you're in shock you do and say things that people normally don't do or say, or stand there like an idiot staring. he was just in a horrible accident and he's looking at someone he hit about to be burned alive, so cut the guy a little slack.

Seems like he's fine - one comment made me chuckle though "poor guy is just lying there like a starfish"

Being in shock you can physically be fine but not really comprehend what is going on around you.
