when to upgrade fuel pump on 2011 ms3

could i have your opinions on whether or not to upgrade to cdfp once my cork sport cbe,race pipe,sri and hypertech have been installed?i did some research and was told the stock pump could handle up to 400 hp....

Not on the 2010+'s it can't...the fueling logic in the new ecu's dumps fuel in (further lowering fuel pressure) when it drops below 1600psi. Basically you can do intake and a catback exhaust before you need the fuel pump...if you want to do an intercooler (top or front) or a downpipe (cat delete) then you need the fuel pump.

I wouldn't say faster maybe reasonable quick. Unless you go meth. :). Meth here I come it's being installed Friday. Then what's next on the list. Maybe big turbo and blue streaks forged 2nd motor. With this stuff installed now your talking fast. Lol

Not sure about shipping and all but its 667.00 http://www.cp-e.com/products/mazdaspeed3-gen1/mzr-disi-23-hpfpump%E2%84%A2 and there is a core charge of 300 so you send in your pump and they update it for someone else to buy. It is the original pump they just update it to handle to load you need so no def not 800 maybe 400 once your core charge is returned, hope this helps

First of all, it's $667 plus $395 core charge which you get back when you send your old pump in and they verify it is in working condition.

That is, however, if you can wait the couple months or more that'll it'll take for them to get the part in stock. I did not pull $800 out of my ass, it is what I paid. I believe Fobio at one point brought them in at $950 installed. You can probably get the internals to upgrade your own fuel pump for around $400.

you can use your $400 to buy a cp-e towplate, but it won't get you a cp-e HPFP

Meth, like the high pressure fuel pump upgrade, does not give you horsepower.

What they both do, is allow you to tune for more power in a safe manner. So you cannot put a number to it, his HP may not even go up once he starts spraying meth, especially if he's already pretty maxed out with the tune, but his engine will run alot safer.

The Methonal Injection will be a safe guard for the motor. Yes, methanol will give you extra hp by ramping up the boost and timing on the upper end. I'm just adding the meth as a safe guard for now and then we will commence with the tuning once my other goodies arrive. Anyway, we will see what happens on Friday when the kit is installed. This is certainly not a cheap mod to do.

Ok So i read it wrong , all it required was you to say was its the price plus core, instead whatever it was above you went on with, and thanks for the update since I can park my car for the winter I will just send mine to be upgraded
