I stayed at the MGM Grand... hotel is massive... walk around your hotel and check out the different restaurants and stores. Watch Cirque Du Soleil show... Walk the strip and just check out all the amazing hotels and different themes. Watch the fountain show at the Bellagio at night. Go to the gun range and shoot off a few rounds. They have a race track where you can drive supercars for a price but I am not sure how far it is from the strip.

I have nothing to add with regards to attractions however I would like to state my jealousy and would like to inquire about a job as an assistant or something.

The company is called Racing Exotics and they are out at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It's a fairly short drive on the highway...you would need a car as I don't think they run a shuttle. It's a fantastic set up they have.

Then I don't think Vegas is the right venue for you.

No, seriously. I just came back from my Vegas trip in August and its not called Sin City for no reason. I saw a lot of families with young kids in Vegas and I don't understand how any parent would take their young families there. Pushing a toddler in stroller around at 2AM in a noise & smoke filled casino isn't my idea of parent of the year material.

Having said that, I guess you can walk around each of the casinos on the strip (Bellagio, Caesars, Venetian to name a few). There are some high end stores in each of them.

Btw, I'm totally jealous as well. :)

If you wanna drop some cash on a seriously good steak, try a retaurant called Prime in the Bellagio, friggin amazing. It was so good and the service was so good I even remember the name of my waitier. Ask to sit in Walters section (if he's still there).

Penn and Teller is good for a laugh and some wows.

Also check out the web to see what events are going on. You might luck out and there is a UNLV football game going on if you are there on a saturday, maybe a big boxing match or MMA fight.

There are a bunch of good tours that take you out the to Hoover Dam (it was actually worth the coin when I went) or into the grand canyon. You can even go on a Hummer driving tour of the cayon if that's your thing.

If you really want to drop some coin, for a grand there is a flight school out there that will take you up and you get to have a dog fight, and you will actualy be flying the plane, it's #1 on my bucket list http://skycombatace.com/

I would so be doing that when I hit Vegas next (not sure when that may be)

do NOT take the Hummer Grand Canyon tour. One of the worst things I have spent money on. I was out there last summer and we signed up for it thinking it'd be a fun ride in a decent truck. Turn out its a gutted H2 with benches in the 'custom' extended cab. No heat or AC, lol. It was supposed to be a 4 hour tour around the area, turned out to be 10 because our driver was lost. We had to stop and tell him where to go a few times.

Maybe that's just unlucky or we just picked the wrong tour, but from my experience not worth it.

What is worth it, however, is the helicopter tour! That was money well spent.

This. I haven't done theirs, but I've done other private versions. Best thing ever. Combat without the whole getting shot down and dying part lol.

And I've heard the helicopter tour was/is amazing too.
Plus there's that one hotel that has a couple rollercoasters on top. That might be pretty awesome to check out.

New York New York has roller coasters.

But the one that's on top I THINK is the Stratosphere.

Yup the stratosphere is the one with the roller coasters. It's got three if I remember correctly.

I attended CES last year for the first time. Event was amazing, but exhausting. After walking around all day, and talking business with many exhibitors, my body and brain were friend most nights. I do not gamble either, and had no interest in the Vegas strip clubs. I did check out several of the bars and restaurants though.
One thing to note, if you are not a smoker, make sure your reservation notes a non smoking room, as some hotels charge extra for non smoking rooms.

Yeah but you are on a cable which slows the rate of speed. I was going to do it but I ended up just doing all three rides at the top. The ride that spins and goes over the edge if scary as shit.
