After driving an '04 Mazda 3 Sport on a 4 year lease, I drove a Civic for a few years. Earlier this year I was rear ended by a texter and had the Civic in the body shop for a few days. The rental I got was a 2010 Mz3 Sport and I just loved it. When I got the Civic back it just did not enjoy driving it. My wife said if I enjoyed the 3 so much, I should get another one. I spend 1 to 1 1/2 hours a day commuting so I figured why not enjoy it.
After a lot of looking I was able to find one of the last Copper Red '11 Mz3 Sport GS models in the country. I've had it 2 weeks now and love it. The handling is amazing, and I love the extra pep in the 2.5 litre engine.
I don't have huge plans for modding. Through the sponsors pages I have been down to QEW for the floor liners, rear cargo tray, dimming mirror and bumper step plates. I was into Selective Sound today and picked out some nice JL Audio speakers to be installed next week. Both places have been wonderful to deal with. I have been in touch with GTA Carkits about an IPOD kit, and am thinking about tints and rustproofing when the Visa card cools off a bit.
The new vehicle is not in condition for photos just yet. With nice weather forecast for the weekend I plan to get out the clay bar and a couple of coats of polish and shine her up. Then will be able to take some photos worthy of this forum.
