In regards to 5 guys Burgers, if you are allergic to nuts/peanuts don't even set foot in the front door. they have large sacks of nuts just sitting around for people to eat. Basically it's a death trap for ppl with allergies to nuts.

It doesn't compare to any of these extreme burgers, but the best burger I ever had was in Wellesley, ON (No, not the street in T.O.) from the Nith River Chop House.
3/4 lb beef and pork patty with 8yr cheddar, locally raised thick-cut bacon and a homemade bun. Topped with apple butter and a radicchio and cucumber slaw. Served with sweet potato fries.

Best of all, it's 10 minutes from my house, a 2 minute walk from my friend's house, it's $11, and the place has Strongbow on tap. :D

I just went to C & Dubbs Hamburgers this afternoon after checking this tempting thread! lol

They accept CASH only which is very old school. However, ATM machine is available.

I've got the super SUMO combo and it is huge. I thought I wouldn't eat the whole thing but I done it. No room for fries though and I won't take the combo next time.

Decent place, not too bad.

All the time during high school, I too was a big fan. Went there last spring, was not impressed (Disappointed)... the paddies were very thin. 2 great places to try, both in Etobicoke. 1st; Acme Burger (735 The Queensway) corner of Queensway & Royal York & 2nd Magoo's Gourmet Hamburgers (4242 Dundas St ) they do not accept debit at this location. correction...

"Collosal Colon Clogger Combo"
24oz burger served with a quarter pound of cheese, a quarter pound of bacon, and 2 fried eggs. Also comes with a large shake and a small poutine.

still a ridiculous amount of anything and quite frankly I consider this a challenge.

So, I did go to C & Dubbs Hamburgers last week and I decided to try out the Five Guys burger.

waaaaaaay better than C & Dubbs hamburgers. Five guys burger are smaller but juicy! I liked it!

Their fries are way better than the fried from C & Dubbs.

Actually I would not recommend C & Dubbs. Nothing special at all.

Not a burger, but I visited Birch Run Michigan last summer and me and my buddies stopped at Tony's I-75 for one-pound BLT's. A full pound of bacon, with some lettuce and tomato thrown in to keep the ol' ticker going. Cost around $7.

List of T.O.'s most decadent burgers (http://indie88.com/torontos-most-decadent-burgers/)

me thinks either Burger's Priest's Tower of Babel

This burger uses grilled cheese sandwiches instead of buns and has three patties inside including a cheese-infused deep fried portobello mushroom.

or Holy Chuck's Holy Duck

The Holy Duck comes with Quebec foie gras, double smoked bacon, white truffle oil, Canadian maple syrup and Italian white truffles on a beef patty.

There's one that opened up on young street between Lawrence and York mills a while back. I find that its a bit better than the queen location and not as crazy busy. (Parking is on the sidestreets, avoid young)

As a note for everyone Raza no longer (as of last year) owns burger brats.... still decent food but not as great as his cooking....

Buddy of mine and always made sure he had scotch bonnets for my burgers

Did you folks know that Goody's Diner closed down? I was actually looking forward to eating there again. But when I checked this weekend, they had some pizza crap sign posted all over the place.

Well, not sure if people even knew about Goody's Diner since it's in a hidden spot that only the people in the know would know. :chuckle

Just a FYI. If you guys at all want to have a Big Mac they are being eliminated in a month, along with apple pies.

Yeah its been closed for a over a year or 2 now. At first there was a sign saying that they will reopen, but that didn't happen. According to Facebook, they were shutting down in order to focus on the catering business instead. I was disappointed. Everything was so good, epic burgers.

No company nor person would be dumb enough to get rid of their flagship signature sandwich. That's like telling Mazda to stop selling the 3

It is funny if people actually believe it. Be a good marketing campaign.

Perhaps a new thread for this but Best Value Steak Dinners ( under $25) in T.O. (http://indie88.com/best-steak-dinners-under-25-in-toronto/) IMHO is at the Tulip restaurant.

Best value steaks I've had was in Argentina. They don't serve anything smaller than a 20oz. Typical size is around 26 oz.

Try that 1 - 2 times per day for 14 days
