I can't see how a police chase could end well as the getaway car would be bogged down by nasty GTA traffic even before he can hit 100km/h.

Well this is a boring chase. They aren't trying to stop him, and he just got off at McLeod street and got right back on and is now heading back towards Toronto....

He's got a sleeper cab and extended range tanks. If they were full, they could be at this for a long time. Those things can go from KW to California before needing to fill (depending on the load)

Well, they got him. In burlington - He's in custody now - QEW better be traffic free by the time work is done! I get off at appleby!!!

Worlds longest and most boring police chase.
I'm betting he just wanted to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for longest police chase (and probably most boring too).

I read this and automatically thought it was just a car chase. Surprised to see the truck when I turned on the tv lol

I think OPP did the right thing. Not sure if they had much of a choice, but if they tried anything people could have been hurt. Glad they showed restraint.

Especially during the so-called rush hr traffic on the QEW.

funny thing is that could of lasted for another 20 hours should the driver of the truck decided to continue it, you can have enough fuel in a semi for literally 2500 km at a time or more ( i work in transportation ) and with a flatbed hooked up with no weight even better fuel economy. So i just think guy figured there was no real way to get away with it.
