Hey, recently i damaged a connector for the rear abs when changing the rear wheel bearings
I don't want any ABS at all so it doesnt bother me that its damaged.
However the ABS light does. Is there ANY way possible to disable the ABS light and if not, would replacing the sensor make the light disappear or do i have to flash the computer?

I don't understand the logic of not having ABS. The most idiotic statement that has been made in TM3 history.

My last car had no abs. Easier in the winter without it.
When abs kicks in it tends to freak people out causing them to stomp on the breaks making things worse.
As for the abs light you probably just have to replace the sensor and live with abs on.

FYI I hate ABS.... I find it makes it worst at stopping. If the abs on my car went I wouldn't fix it...

Sounds crazy, but I actually hate it as well especially since I put my BC coilovers. I find that if I were to stop on bumpy (consecutive bumps) the ABS would go on even if I am gently applying on the breaks.

This should definitely not be in the How-To section. Moved to Suspension and Brakes.

When u start sliding, in the heat of the moment you would just slam the breaks as a first reaction. ABS allows u to not "step on brake, let go" consecutively. IMO its key to winter driving.

actually chris i have tried slamming on the brakes and i didn't slide around...it all depends on who is driving and not the car. With or without ABS you car can slide anyways..i've driven both. IMO cars with ABS have a longer stopping distance than cars without ABS.

Not going to debate the merits and cons of ABS, but in terms of winter driving specifically, ABS has been shown time and time again to have longer stopping distances on snow and ice than non-ABS brakes. In dry and rainy weather, ABS is superior in stopping distance terms.
All this said, I agree with you that for the average driver on the roads, ABS is typically a better option than a non-ABS car.

If you don't have ABS threshold braking is what you are supposed to do.. That means do what ABS does... apply most brake pressure without having your wheels lock so you can remain in control (steer).
PS not sure if you guys think you are pro or not but threshold braking is bs.. and incredibly hard if not impossible to actually do correctly.
