yeah unfortunately i know all too well the weight restrictions on things like that..if they saw me pull up they would have to pack a special pack.. i jump , i free fall... i pull chute... " FFFFFWWWWHHOOOOOOMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

As a skydiving instructor and coach,

We had a few guys who were over 250lbs jump this year.
We've even had a few 300 pounders jump as well.....as some dropzones have larger tandem canopies and experienced Tandem instructors.

Average weight is usually around 190-220lbs for passengers doing a tandem skydive; Ultimately, the final decision remains with the instructor on you jumping or not..

They can refuse to take you if they feel that they cannot get themselves and you to the ground safely. What would definitely help is a doctors note showing that you are physically fit.

Please feel free to ask me any questions. One suggestion is to wait until next year; you guys will enjoy the experience sooooo much more...right now; its FREEZING up there!
If enough interest, I can talk to the dropzone owner and see if I can setup a TM3 group discount.

P.S - Jeff, using 2 parachutes is not advised...as the result is usually:
