HID ballast problem!!

hey guys, I have just purchased a 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback. I'm happy with the car, but I'm having an issue with the hid's. I think the ballast on the passenger side is malfunctioning. my question is; instead of paying through the nose for an oem ballast, can I use an aftermarket ballast with the ds2 bulb. if so does anybody have a place where I can buy it. also, I'm not sure if you guys have meets now because of the weather, but if you do, let me know when and where so I can come out and meet everybody. cheers

Swap the passenger bulb with the driver side bulb first, it could just be a bulb problem. If not then try swapping the passenger and driver ballasts and see if the problem persists.
In terms of meets, check the "Mini-meets" and "Official Meets" sections of the boards to find meets going on near you.
