So today I was trying to remove my old rotors to put on new cross-drilled ones and I encountered a slight problem... My old rotors are rusted near the center of the hub and stuck on there pretty good. Anyone know how to get them off, or can help me remove them ?

I don't want to damage anything around them. I read on M3F about people using something called PB blaster, but i'm not sure how effective this method would be. I don't want to go buy something that isn't going to work..

Much like wd-40 but better. Wd gunks up over time while jigaloo doesn't. In my experience it's also better at removing seized things and rust.

LoL bash them harder, with a bigger hammer? They'll eventually come off...

Canadian tire. Should be close to the wd-40 or near the auto lube section.

I find PB Blaster works well for removing seized on stuff.

Thou shalt not be beaten by a car....hit harder...put down the glass hammer
Hitting from the back side helps....just try to miss the caliper cage perch.
Also try hitting the front face of the rotor so hard that you crack the rotor, this usualy makes it come off too

When I chNged mine I had to heat them up with a torch and beat the snot out of them to get them off

.
A blow up hammer from the CNE doesn't count.
:bot but get some Jig-a-loo and soak it down for a while, then try it again. If you take it anywhere else, they'll do the same and/or take a blowtorch to it but i doubt you have that on hand

or you can do it the smart way... put a bolt into the rotor hat and push it off!

If your hammers fail (as in break, i killed 3 of my old ones) in combination with wd40 etc.... get a bigger hammer lol. This worked for me :P

I think that's what I'm going to be doing. Went and bought some 3in x 1/2in bolts, nuts and washers. I think that should do it.

My rotors were literraly hammered off breaking them in half... Had to buy a new hammer since the first one broke in the process. It looks brutal but it works.
