Thats what I was thinking.......the background is pretty bad. Everything else is awesome though!

That was sick!!! Very sick!!! I kept seeing plenty of cleavage from the signature (my eyes did the lizard thing, one on the signature & one on the video). The lyrics in the song that was played with the video was saying that he had drawn (sketched) her. Very fitting.

I'm kind of skeptical. Like the comments in the video are saying, I think they started out with a picture and just did everything in reverse.

the pessimist in me says they traced in the face and then dropped in the real image behind and slowly increased the opacity of an image of the real girl and fiddled with it, and turned up the opacity and fiddled and opacity. and slowly brought the real image up to the top

Well I'm sure he was working from a picture of a real person to aide him. But he was also using a wacom tablet (no it's not a computer, google it).
Which is the only way you can do stuff like that. That being said, his skills are still very impressive. Hair is very hard to do, even in video games we don't always get it right and we can add more depth and texture than 2d artists can.
