Well I think that title should describe it well enough just about. I think I've seen this problem mentioned before somewhere but haven't had luck searching on various sites.
I just had my coils installed today and sometimes I notice a clunk sound when I turn the wheel.. sounds and feels like its the front driver side. It sounds like a clunk caused by the spring... like the spring twisting or shifting or something. Anyone had this issue or heard of it and know why it makes this sound from time to time.
Thanks

Sounds like your spring is binding. Try to loosen up the locking rings a bit. With the car lifted the spring should spin easily by hand. If not, then it`s too tight.

Thanks. Ya thats what the sound is like.. its like a spring under tight pressure giving a little popping sound or something.

UPDATE: I think the springs are starting to settle now because it looks like it has dropped a bit since the install and I didn't notice the sound tonight. Maybe temperature played into it though, I'll see tomorrow if it continues then look at it more if it still has issues.

I was getting a similar sound from mine. Not all the time though. On cold days only.

I've been driving around a bit today running some errands and I haven't heard it at all today. Perhaps it just needed some settling.. or maybe it wasn't cold enough today. I'll keep my ears on the case.

Mine were doing this last night... there is a fix for it from BC.
Ryan actually has it (rj3) uninstalled.

Not on bcs but a clunking for me was caused by strut bolts needing tightened. After setteling.

If the problem returns I'll speak to bc about getting that, or ryan.

Thanks.. I'll check the strut mounts just to be safe, but im sure APH wouldn't overlook that.
