Hey, so I was wondering who here is into mountain biking? specifically the single track stuff. I used to have 3 friends to ride with but one moved, and 2 have had knee surgury due to soccer/baseball injuries.

If anyone wants to try to catch the last bit of half decent weather to ride let me know. Especially if you want to ride albion hills or Palgrave conservation because I live close enough to both that the trees from those forests give me shade on my deck :chuckle

Ha, ur probably saving your body. When I was doing the in-school portion of my apprenticeship there was a guy in my class into downhill and he broke just about every bone in his body lol. Single track is dangerous enough when you're flying through a trail that is sometimes just wide enough for your handle bars.. Every now and then you think about the fact that there are all these sharp little stumps and branches on the edge of the trail that could blind you or impale you if you fell the wrong way in the wrong spot haha.. but man riding is fun!

And I suppose once you get into modifying a car, spending thousands of dollars on a bike seems a bit expensive. Thats kind of what goes through my head when I look at mountain bikes worth say 5000+.. I start thinking about the nice used Yamaha R6 I could get for that price instead haha..

I'm a member of the Caledon Cycling Club. We ride both Albion Hills and Palgrave. If you're looking for people to ride with you should definitely join us next season. We're pretty much done for this year.
