View Full Version : glove box and trunk light not working

Hi gents,

I wanted to change my glove box light bulb and trunk light bulbs to LEDs but noticed that the old regular bulbs werent working, so i swapped it with the LEDs and still not working!

Is there a fuse for the glove box and trunk lights?

Why are these lights not working?:(

Please share if you have any solution or ideas,

For the glovebox light, you made sure to turn at least your parking lights/headlights on first right? The light won't come on unless you do so.

Also, make sure you have the LED bulb in the right way around... polarity matters, unlike regular bulbs.

Yup. Try flipping them around first.

Yes I have switched them around but still nothing maybe I'll try turning headlights on

Haha, Thanks for your help, it works. my bad.
I thought when ever the door glove box is opened it should lite up.
Im guessing the trunk is the same?! Ill have to try that too when i get time.

So is the light going to be on at all times when the headlights are on?

I'm not sure about the trunk light. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to only come on when you open the trunk.

The glovebox will always be on when you turn the lights on though (parking lamp or headlight setting).

Yea, trunk light comes on when the trunk is open (whether the car is on or not).
I'm 100% sure about this due to the fact that one weekend over the summer, my trunk wasn't closed properly...
I went away for the weekend, and came back and my car wouldn't start. :(
