Damn. Where can I buy these things. That'll feed my animals for a week.
I give it 5 years until they are commercially available. Maybe less. It only took 2 years for the last cricket species that was found in England to become more available then Acheta domesticus ( common house cricket that can't really survive Canadian climate in large numbers)
Sorry as with cars you learn about reptiles and food when your in the industry.

Haha a shot gun ain't gonna be enough once they swarm. :chuckle As soulofmischief said, it could be a glimpse of starship trooper future.. A plasma blaster is definitely required. :chuckle

In my anthropomorphic imagination, this thing has a monocle and speaks with an uppity british accent.
"Oh I am ever so tired of carrots. What I wouldn't give for a spot of Earl Grey."

they are an endangered species.
ya i already looked them up... so they may not become feeders anytime soon but gauranteed will be pets soon.
Crested geckos were only rediscovered in 1994 and became widely available in capativity by 2000, now they have one of the largest captive populations in the world. More cresties are owned in capivity then dogs or cats. ( i used to have 100 of them)
( i will have to find that article if someone wants me to site that)
the only problem is no animal can be exported from NZ or AUS so that will make it harder
