Hi everyone,

Just got an '07 Mazda 3 sedan (manual transmission). I'm really enjoying it so far. My last car was a 2000 VW Jetta. The repair bills were just getting to high. Anyway, I am having fun with it so far. My old car didn't have cup holders so I'm loving the 6 that this car does!

One quick question. I looked in the trunk and there is only the bottom carpetting separating the trunk from the spare donut. Is this normal or should there be something stiffer. Whenever I put my briefcase in the back it kind of falls in a bit. I'm not sure weather I should call the dealer. Thanks.

There should be thick-ish carpet (half an inch think maybe), then a black plastic board that holds the tire changing tools and makes things rather flat, and then the tire under that.

Thanks. I'll call the dealer tomorrow to rectify this.

Should look just like that, minus the receipt flattened in there, lol

Yeah, it doesn't look like that at all. You've been really helpful. Thanks.

Np. Let us know how it goes. If you're not sure about anything, you can always walk away from the dealer and come ask us before committing to anything.
