but it doesn't matter since it gets so cold in the gta (sometimes it drops down to -20) you'll freeze to death if you don't have a cg parka.

When items of interest are not on sale, make your own sale. Look around the usual online sources (rfd/kijiji/craigslist/tm3) for people unloading giftcards at 10-15% off. Of course you need to exercise caution and discretion but if done correctly, the savings add up :)

I understand if you work outdoors or take public transit daily, or just out side for extended periods of time on a daily basis - I don't see how ppl can drop $400+ on a winter coat.

I know 4 people with authentic CG jackets. Never are they actually outside other than when they run from their car to the mall/office/house doors.

And less weight too. If you wonder why CG parkas as heavy is that they use duck down not goose down. Goose feathers are larger than duck and therefore more duck down is needed to give u the warmth of a goose filled jacket. That's why companies such as North Face, Arcteryx use goose. Heavier does not necessarily mean warmer.

worth every dollar spent.... youre gonna spend 200 on a quality winter jacket anyways, for an extra 250 you get CGs lifetime wty on stuffing and ripping... if you even get 4years out of it worth every penny.

you cant compete wiith a jacket so light and warm enough to wear a tshirt underneath in pretty cold temps. I even take my goose snowboarding sometimes and its seen wear, holds up like a beast.

+1 Most people don't need such a jacket. Given the age group of most people who wear these jackets 17-25, I find it questionable when people try to justify (trend?) it as an investment.

The way I see it is that I spent the money on a CG jacket cause I wanted a coat that was great quality and that I would have for myself for years to come. I'm too old to keep buying the next big trend. Truth be told my wife & I bought ours before it became the must have fashion accessory. My theory was buy one good coat that will last, instead of buying one every two to three years. Canada Goose is very pricy, NorthFace is more then sufficient to keep you warm in the city, & is good quality with out breaking the bank. Just my :.02

What that video doesn't tell you is the cyotes are over populated in east coast Canada and cause detrimental damage to the other wildlife. No it does not excuse the way these animals are being killed BUT these traps are not placed to catch these animals on hunting property ( private property yes) on legitimate hunting property there is no way these traps could be affective.
Cyotes are being killed in large numbers on the east cost to start with( with reason) why not use the fur rather then burn the entire carcass.
