I'd never advocate for saving a buck on something your ass rides on, and it seems like these shocks with obvious Asian origins are no replacement for performance shocks, but we live in Canada and some of us might actually want to swap to higher riding shocks for winter. Or even those who keep it smooth and steady on the streets, but now out of warranty, can likely benefit, if you find yours blown out.

2006-2007 Mazda 5 Shocks, Struts, Full Set - APX Part # 1460-2 (http://apxautoparts.com/apx/2006-2007-mazda-5-shocks-struts-full-set.html)

Here's the MSF.org review thread:

SenSen Shocks APX Auto (http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/f12/sensen-shocks-apx-auto-74702/)

Again, neither myself nor MSpeed Tuning specifically recommends these...I can't vouch for these either as I've never used them. Just a good topic for those who are looking for good inexpensive OEM replacement.

As of this writing, with the MSF.org discount, it comes to $144 before shipping.

I guess if money was tight, just for a temporary fix these would have to do. Personally, I rather spend the little extra (or a lot) for better quality, you save money in the long run.

I can't say one way or another. I suspect they MAY be OEM equivalent.

But no, I'm not diving into Turn 2 @ 150km/h in these...lol...

Not bad...

If you get into the predictament where youre waiting 6+ months for Koni or Bilstien rears this may be a good bandaid to tie you over. Looked up the rear set only and its 65 bucks which is pretty good to run until you get your real set of rear shocks.

I was hoping this would be left in the MS3 general section so more guys can benefit rather than have it buried in here.

i would get these to run in case of a lot of things...stocking out, sending koni's in for warranty, have a 'disposable' track set.....

Kinda defeats the purpose of going to the track riding on cheap stock like dampers, no? The whole point of expensive shocks are for the performance.

apparently sarcasm is lost in written word....i was sure the 'disposable' in air quotes would've given a hint

in any case, 95+% of drivers who go to the track will never reach the limits of stock dampers regardless of car. for the gen1 Mazdaspeed3, which has horrible OEM dampers, this set may well make a good replacement for those owners that will only ever see the track a handful of times.

This is a good deal and customer was awesome responsive. Had it shipped to Ottawa and only pay $28.30 extra for Canada Post handling charges and taxes. Just waiting for the right weather so I can start installing it.
