Hey guys, first post here on tm3. I've lurked for a little while and have come to the conclusion that I'm going to run bc br coils. BUT before i go ahead and order online I was just wondering if there are any local shops (to the gta or hamilton/burlington area) that carry BC's product line? Their website isn't very helpful in that aspect and I'd rather not have to deal with shipping stuff.
Let me know guys! Thanks:)

A bunch of places do. Three (perhaps more?) of the site sponsors carry BC products. Alpha Motorsports, Garage16, and Nextmod. There may be other sponsors that do too, but I'm not sure.

depending on what your goal is for the car...and how low you want to go, BC allows you to change the standard springs to shorter ones free of charge...so if your looking to go low then make sure you inquire about that.

Bc coils are garbage.
Why? I've been on mine for 2 ish years, all year around, I like them better than my previous sportline/yellow setup.
The ONLY issue I had and this was recently was a pillowball mount getting damaged via some unfinished road work.

^ I've done this dance before, and I know the disadvantages of BC coils (the damper adjustment for example is far less than they claim) I've gone as far as looking up shock dynos.
All this being said had my sportlines settled evenly all around I would probably still be on them.

You're entitled to your opinion, but it would be great if you'd provide something to back it up other than your preference for Koni (which of course aren't even coilovers, another issue). Lots of people happy with the BC coils.

if someone is wanting to run as low as some people do you cant go that low with a spring and konis. konis are unadjustable
so why is it they are junk? please fill us in

Don't shun me for being an outsider, but these arn't going on a ms3, but a european cousin of the 3. Since coilovers for my car aren't as readily available and my car is on the same p1 platform as the 3, weighs only 80 pounds more, and all suspension parts are compatible, Im going with the mazda components as they are less expensive and are the exact same product.
I was thinking of the bc coilovers primarily because they are height adjustable (up to 3.5" of drop) and come with pillowball mounts, which on my car the strut bearings are known to be a weak component of the suspension.
If I don't do that, I will be going for koni yellows with megan racing springs (the most generous drop I could find for our platform (including all options for the 3, ms3 s40,v50,c30,focus rs and st)
Nextmod's site is down for the holiday and Garage16 doesn't appear to have the BC coils on their website... should I call them or do they no longer carry the BC products?
Try Alpha its in my sig and they have the best prices around

when you run a BC coilover system instead of just shocks and lowering springs do you still need use a camber kit and a sway bar. from what i read it seems like a bunch of guys here have to have them when running lowering springs.

Even some springs need a camber kit if you exceed a 1.5" drop. So yes, I will either be rockin' the spc or megan camber kit (as they are the same thing) As for swaybar endlinks, Im not too sure about the ms3 but I know my car doesn't need an extension kit or any modifications to the bar as my car has horizontal swaybar ends instead of vertical ones. I will still be upgrading from the stock 20.5mm bar on my car to a 25mm bar once my back account replenishes though.
