He has said it can be done and even used his urine to get clean water but i havent seen him drink it.

Bear Grylls is a sham, well his show is.
HE IS trained and does train people to survive but lets think about it. He always happens to find a brand new rope/dead animal/or hunting gear. He has a camera crew with him and i highly doubt that their drinking piss or eating bugs. He puts himself into situations that if you were ACTUALLY trying to survive you wouldnt.
Hes a showman with an entertaining and somewhat educational show that lets face it is a sham. there is no reason for him to eat anything or drink urine in the 2 days MAX hes out there. The only one of his shows that i actually liked was the one where he took 2 viewers on a camping trip with him for 5 day, but they also had tents and other supplies. Hes been busted eating chips when the camera was supposed to be off and even caught in hotels while filming. Still it is gros what he does.


Les Stoud is the real deal, hes alone ( sometimes left before his crew is supposed to leave) and he spends 5 days surviving with possible circumstances, hes not afraid to say when he cant continue ( plane crash with a broken arm episode ) and again ALL CAMERA STUFF IS FILMED BY HIMSELF.
there is things in place for protection ( radios ect) but still no help unless needed.

+1. Not that I'm an expert but this would be the more proper way to do it. Drinking your own urine will just dehydrate you further.

Survivor Man > Man vs Wild. Les sets up all his cameras to film from different angles and then backtracks or goes out of his way to pick them up again. Bear Grylls has a camera crew with him.

Theres been a few times where Les Stroud couldnt make it to where he was heading and had to be picked up along the way.
