No more duct on the 2010+

But I kept it on my old one...takes 2 seconds to remove if you need to get at the intake.

No need to take mine off. Only the battery vent , etc came off.

its useful to have the battery cover and duct on the 1st gens... it helps cools the battery and prevent crap from building up on the terminals... this increases battery life :)
good strut bars lets you keep the cover too

Got a HPS SRI and kept everything in place ... Keep the OEM style.

no point having the cover on if there's no duct

Kept mine, but removed the duct. I think it was rattly, but might have just been my imagination.

i have a ram air so i split the duct in half and took off the cover cuz its winter now. i have a strut bar that lets me keep the cover but bareley lets me take it off. just in case i need a boost

I've kept mine on. No reason to take it off and it makes the engine bay look clean :)

The let water in to the battery box area. I took mine off on my old car. My new rides never had them

^Two main reasons I've left my cover and vent on, plus it looks cleaner....My battery is going on 7 years now, don't remember having to even clean the terminals yet, actually ;-)

Have to agree with The MAN, I think there's a cooling function for the air duct and cover, protect the batt. from eng. heat.( For the same reason I took off the eng. cover since it's only a decoration and keeps the head from getting a cooling air flow.) Still on the original batt. on an '06 GT. By the way, djsebzilla, how do you like the HPS SRI?( Looking for something low on the noise.)
