Are the calipers for 1st gen Sedans and Hatches (excluding speed3's) different?

Yes they are the same. 2.3L models have bigger calipers and rotors in the front.

What about rear calipers though?

Sedan & hatch share common brake components for front and back on the 1st Gen. Probably the same on 2nd Gen but I can't confirm.

2.3L has bigger front calipers and more powerful rear calipers.

2.0L has smaller front calipers and less powerful rear calipers.

Rear calipers and rotors are the same size across 2.0L and 2.3L models.
