Hey guys,
i'm going to be upgrading the stock shocks on my 3, wondering what would be the best bet.
I am lowered on profits at the moment.
I have a feeling my shocks are worn, the car just feels more bouncy (maybe its psychological as i feel i want new shocks lol), a more worrisome issue is that my tires keep feathering. i replaced my Falkens with S Drives last summer. and the S drives have started to feather just a bit. Alignment was done after i installed the S.Drives and balancing was checked as well
So hoping maybe changing the shocks out will help clarify the issue for me, aside form that i've had the car lowered since 2008 on stock shocks, its time for a change.
thanks
oz

Yep i'm goi g yellow!
I was browsing and saw that they are adjustable?
How does one adjust it? Would street performance know what level to adjust it to?
Just have to get the money now :/

they are both great shocks/struts, but the fsds arent recommended to be used with lowering springs.
So go with the yellows

Go konis for sure.
They are adjustable - fronts anyway. Jimmy can set them how you like them, but he usually recommends around 60% which is plenty firm.
Here's how you adjust the fronts.

:agree
To clarify regarding the adjustability: all Koni Sport (Yellow) shocks are adjustable.
HOWEVER
Only the front shocks are freely adjustable - these can be adjusted at any time using the dial, as Jackal posted.
The rear shocks must be removed from the vehicle / are generally a pain in the butt to adjust. Thus while they are adjustable from person-to-person, it tends to be more of an educated guess when you first get them, after which most people tend to leave them at that setting. I would suggest ~50% firmness for the rear, so that you can make the front softer/equal/firmer as you see fit.
Running F25%/R25% personally. If I went back in time to when I was having them installed, I'd recommend rear 50% for sure though.
you can use fsd with lowering springs, in fact koni sells them as a pair with eibach pro-kits on their website. i just don't think it is recommended to use them with springs that have a very stiff spring rate or are linear.
regardless, my vote goes for yellows as well.
