Hi All,
New Guy here.
I am picking up my 2012 Mazda 3 Sport SkyActiv MT6 on Thursday. This will be my 2nd Mazda. My first car was a 94 MX6 LS.
The car is Black Mica, only thing done to it so far is 30 tint front and 20 tint rear.
Plans are to upgrade the speakers (maybe a small sub), lower and a CAI. Since it is the SkyActiv it seems like there isn't much yet engine wise, so I will wait a while for that kind of work. One thing I really want to do is find some stock fogs and wiring with button and install that. The car on the lot didn't have them and but everything else I wanted.
Once thing I love about this car, even though it isn't the fastest is the handling. The steering is very responsive and the car corners well. Can't wait to get it on the road and put 1000 km on it this weekend (driving to Ottawa) for the break in.

Are you going to follow the manual for the break-in? Vary speed and all that?

I hadn't planned on it, but now that you mention it might be worth looking into. Thanks

It might be important since you're going on a long trip. The manual says to avoid a single speed/rpm for a long period of time during the break-in period.

That's what the tech at whitby Mazda said. I've been trying to vary the rpm and speed as much as possible. I've put 250 on the car. Will have 1000 once I get back. I'll just range from 100-130 and drop to 5th once and a while. He said after 1000 I should be fine to drive normally
