So I found an app on the Android Marketplace that dyno's your car based on the accelerometers in your phone. Link Here: https://market.android.com/details?id=net.adyno.adyno#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwi bmV0LmFkeW5vLmFkeW5vIl0.

The program has a lot of settings and parameters. So far, I've left everything default, except the weight of the car (which I found off wikipedia).

My result: 158.2HP and 152.6ft/lbs torque

Now I know this is not accurate as a real dyno, but it's free.

Wondering what other people are getting, and also if anyone has insight on what to set the parameters to to obtain more accurate results, please share.

Downloaded like 3 minutes before, works pretty good.
You can find the stats for your car here (http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/?man=3808)

hm, "dynolicious" seems to be the apple dyno app of choice. I'll give it a shot sometime and see what it comes up with.

That's accurate....... if you have enough stickers on your car.

19 second 0-100 @ 400hp is accurate?

Our definitions of the term "accuracy" must be totally different...LOL.

It also appears that sarcasm is a foreign language here...

The app says to drive in one gear from 1,500 rpm to redline. I'm assuming 3rd would be the optimal choice?

So far:

First gear from dead stop to 6400 rpm's ish. Why it only recorded to 3200 I"ll never know. Will try again tmo.
This was uncalibrated. As I downloaded 2 minutes before work.
This was also with my phone being held in my hand. Will mount it once I find my mount lol.

If these are anything like a GTech, they can be very accurate but take a long time to dial in and you will never really know until you actually have a dyno and some quarter mile times. I have my Gtech Pro SS dialed in within 1/10 of a second in the 1/4 and within about 2% or 15hp on my stang. It takes a lot of time to get these accurate though and if it's not really close to accurate its kind of useless unless you are just trying to find gains from a baseline but even then, percentages can be off and the calculations go out the window.

You can set it up to dyno any gear you want, you just have to set the corresponding max and min speed. Defaults are designed for 2nd gear.

The reason your reading is so off is because you used first.

What you are suppose to do is at a standstill, hit Start on the app. Once it's done calibrating (it will beep), start in first. Shift into 2nd at around 2500-3000RPM. Once you are in 2nd, (you want to be around 2000 RPM by default - minimum RPM in the settings), take it all the way to 6500RPM (max rpm in the settings).

Also, I just place my phone in the cupholder, with the screen facing rearwards. I notice the phone cannot be completely vertical either, so the cupholder works well.

Well then, I'll give it a shot tonight.
Edit. Gave it a shot. Went from 1st to 2nd. I think I have a bit more calibrating to do

It looked pretty legit until the 184 spike.

Here's my 2 Dyno graphs, taken on 2 different days:

Got 143HP on the 2nd run. Can't remember the torque. Had to clear the data cache because for 1 pull, I guess I didn't hit the brakes hard enough at the end, so ended up logging like 15 min of driving around, which caused the app to crash.

Did another pull this morning. this thing is pretty consistent.

Where did you get all your stats?
I'm missing a few things.

I'm not sure about with the app, but you will have less power to the ground in 1st. There is a reason they do most dyno runs in 3rd.

I know that it is best to use the gear closest to 1:1 on a dynojet because of some weird math. Also I can see an issue with new electronic automatic transmissions and their readouts from gear to gear but everything else being equal, I'm missing something on this less power to the ground, can you explain? Damn, I must be having a case of foggy brain Mondays
