Hey guys,

I just bought a couple of blue LED flex lights that I plan on installing as footwell lights. I want to hook them up the the map lights (so they come on with the doors), but for the life of me I cant seem to figure out which wires ars for the map lights, Does anyone have pics of where and how they tapped into their map lights?

Oh yeah, I have a 2011.

Didn't tap the map lights, but what I did do was tap the cigarette lighter in the dash. They are always on (unless I turn them off with a switch), but I've gotten so used to them that it's weird not to see them out of the corner of my eye.
Cigarette lighter is much easier.

Do you want them on when you open the doors or manually controlled, etc?

Thats how i have mine hooked up. Also when I turn on the map light the footwells turn on as well. The guy that installed mine tapped into the wire right from the top where the map lights are and ran the wires down.

Any idea if this is the same for 07 sedan. And possibly how to wire a switch to manually turn them on and off independant from the door. ( in other words they would come on when the door opens AND on its own switch when the door is closed.)

There are pics missing so I'm not sure what everything is supposed to show. Hopefully this helps a little.

Finally got it done. Decided to hook it up to the cig with switch instead of the map lights. Its pretty cool to have them on while driving.
