Either that, or there is an alternative explanation for this:

First, someone tries to turn the wrong way up the ramp; Then some stupid old man is using the right lane as his private parking spot without even pulling over properly. Why does the DVP ramp/road to Castle Frank make everyone go stupid? :bang

(Shot with the Blackvue DR400G-HD, for those in the market for a dash cam. There's a 1/4 second jump there when I was stuck behind the idiot because the 3-minute file ended and a new one started, which I merged with Windows Movie Maker.)

That Blackvue dash camera is really clear at night. Impressive nighttime clarity compared to the cheaper alternatives.

Yeah, that area can get messed up. Nice defensive driving.

Happens ALL the time...I take that ramp almost everyday. Once you reach that sharp turn, if there are people waiting at that stop sign, they never know how to merge in properly either :s

Also, great camera! Where'd you get it??

I bought the cam off eBay here: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/140665865562

When I bought it, it was $307 US, no duties nor brokerage fees when it came in. They were also one of the few sellers with stock. This one is more expensive because it comes with a box to prevent battery drainage.

Basically uploaded this as a test of the camera. I'm really impressed so far. The only disappointment is that you cannot read moving license-plates, which I suspect is result of some image stabilization or something.

i got through there everytime i go downtown and i encounter these people all the time in that area.... always backing up traffic cuz its rush hour. also hate how people block the intersection when it clearly says not to

And people make the right in the right-most lane only to go really wide so they can make the Parliament turn and not caring who they'd side swipe in the process... This is why I take Bayview then Rosedale Valley to get the Bloor... but people can't read stop signs there properly.

You bought it to much. It's at US $249 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-BlackVue-DR400G-HD-16G-Car-Black-Box-Vehicle-Drive-Camera-GPS-Recorder-/220951858191?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3371c1cc0f

Given that the current Buy-It-Now price for Power Magic Pro is about $64, $307 is a pretty good price. Right now there is one listing @ $289 for the DR400G plus Power Magic Pro, and the seller doesn't have stock...... waiting on shipment. And Pittasoft has started to pull the rug out from eBay sellers.

I'm now leaning to sticking mine at the top, just the right of the mirror. Most of it will be obscured by the black dots at the top of the windshield, and it will still be low enough to be below the top of the wiper sweep.

Edit: ^ Copy cat! :D

I didn't see the power magic pro but the same seller has it for US $289 include power magic pro. He sell a lot of them and next shipment will be this March 5th.

Wanna teach me how to sustain a drift with a FWD? :P

It's probably the biggest thing I miss about having a RWD. Lift-off or hand-brake over-steer just isn't as satisfying as a nice, long, sustained high-angle drift.

As for the mounting location:

Is that removable? Putting it there gives thieves wanting to break into your car and steal it

There's a lock button on the mount. Push it and slide the camera out of the bracket. The bracket stays on the windshield. (The power plug still needs to be removed manually, unlike some Garmin GPSes where the power plugs into the mount.)
