centre display flickering

The centre display on my '05 mazda 3 all of a sudden flickers on and off, and sometimes the heat control lights wont come on at all,or the lights on my steering wheel.. everything still functions okay,
if i turn the car off and turn the key forward and back a few times(probably not the best thing to do)
it works,
any idea on what to do or look at/for ?

check your dimmer switch if you have one, if not check fuses

ya i checked the dimmer switch,
and fuses are fine.
