I've just got new 18's and I wanted to lower my sport gt (2010). Better to go with speed3 coilovers, or after market stuff? I'm new at this.

Koni yellows with Eibach Prokits are a popular combination.
I wouldn't recommend coilovers until you're sure you want to drive low.
Get some springs (prokits are popular) and make sure, because it's almost like learning to drive again when your really low.
Again, just my opinion though

My first lowering was on coils. And no regrets.
IMO though. I do agree pick up some springs only. Pop them on with stock shocks and see how you like it. When your shocks blow. Upgrade them or switch to coils.

For sure, not saying it's not a good idea if you're sure you wanna be low (or can make use of the other things coils are good for, ie if you want to track) and can afford them, go for it and get some coils.
But just be sure you're willing and able to change your driving style, because you'll have to plan your routes around speedbumps / potholes / etc

ProKits are a hassle-free way to lower your car. Stock shocks should hold up fine, and ride quality is similar to stock. Not harsh at all. When dropping more than 1.25" or so, or with stiffer springs, (Sportlines, Road Magnet, Canuck Motorsport etc) your OEM shocks usually go bad within a year or so.
Koni Yellows and Eibach ProKits are a great track suspension combo, and also very comfortable for daily driving. If you really slam your vehicle (coilovers), you lose all the suspension geometry.

Can't argue there.
