I searched the site but I didn't find anything specific to this problem.
On Monday I was out and about, went shopping my car locked and with the second push of the lock button on the flipkey the horn beeps, hazards flash.
Finish shopping etc.. drive home.. get out lock my car, double push the button, lights flash, doors lock, no horn.
I got back in the car turned the ignition on and pressed the horn, nothing.
I checked the manual for the fuses that control the horn, checked the fuse under the dash on the passenger side, it was fine. Next I checked the fuse in the engine bay that also controlled the horn and it was fine. According to the manual there were two fuses which has "horn" listed beside the fuse number and I checked both.
I have a 2007 MS3.. never had any problems before this. I'm at work and I don't remember off hand but I think it said in the manual the break lights are connected to the fuse that controls the horn? My break lights are also working fine.
Any suggestions?

the horn might need to be replaced. possible the wirese could have come off the connector as well. that i would check first.

I'll check them when I get home.. not sure what the odds of the wires coming off, but I'll check anyways.

I've had a issue when I got my hella horns installed too...when you press on your horn does it click? If so, it will be a ground wire issue.

The horn on my 2011 Sport stopped working 3 weeks after I collected the car. It simply did not work.
The dealer replaced it saying they occasionally get bad horns.
I suspect yours has simply come into contact with a load of crap and has given up the ghost. Buy a new one and install it. Easiest and probably quickest fix.

So I installed my new SICKSPEED horns yesterday afternoon. Followed http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?28826-Hella-Horn-Installation-Guide/page4 which made the install easy. Although I couldn't find my original hardware for my stock airbox!!! :) But ended up finding a bolt that fit.
Anyways.. horn installed.. tested the horn and it worked like a charm. Put the bumper back on etc.. This morning tested it again on the highway with some jacka$$ who cut me off.. worked. Got to work, went into the the office and I grabbed a friend of mine who wanted to hear the SICKSPEED horns.. brought him outside. Honked the horn a few times.. on the 4th push no sound, hit the horn again and no sound.
I didn't get time to check the fuses, I'll try and do that on my lunch. I'm leaning towards a blown fuse. Just seems weird
I followed YOTR's instruction to a tee with the wiring.

Similar situation happens with my car sometimes. Every once in awhile the horn will just refuse to work, but the locks will still click when I press the lock button. I'll check everything and there seems to be no problems, and then randomly the next day the horn will work again.

You guys should have got McGuyver to install it. He installed my Mitsuba horns and they have never failed. I think he used a relay if that helps.

If I can't get it working I'll get in touch with him and get him to take a look.
most likely it's a loose connection. i had the same problem when my horn was working intermittently. i checked the fuses, they were good, took off the connection for the horn and plugged it back in and it worked fine. did you stiffen your suspension? i came across a few problems when i lowered my car

I haven't touched my suspension since I got it installed about a week ago. I made sure all the connectors were snug when I put them on. I'm gonna take the bumper off tomorrow and double check everything again. Just seems odd that it worked while I was showing my buddy and then after a few honks it stopped all of a sudden.

So I checked both fuses and all the wiring again.. and my new horns are still not working. This is very frustrating.

No click when I press the horn.
Not sure if you've solved this yet, but this may be your issue right here.
There should be an click that comes from the steering wheel when you press the horn. That's the sound of the switch. If there's no 'clicking feeling', my money is on that.

Well I haven't had time to work on this in the past week or so, been away on business and last few weeknights have been extremely busy for me.
I did check and when I have the hood open and press the horn I hear it clicking. I'm going to check it out Saturday and see what's up.
