Hey guys... Just met some of you at the tuning seminar today and thought I would join TM3 even tho i own a 6 :cool

Pleasure meeting you today and thanks for the pics. Does running top mount ever give you a ton of room.......then again, working in a Speed6 engine bay is so much easier than the MS3.

We did a quick test today when we got back.... Now we were unable to warm the engine due to the missing sensor and map... the results were 170.150.150.170. We are thinking these aren't numbers we can trust until the engine is warm. What do you think?

Cylinders 2-3 are not looking good. Try putting 2-3 drops of motor oil in cylinders 2 and 3 and retry the compression test. If it goes up, the rings are hurt.

Cylinders 2-3 are notorious for running leaner than 1-4 due to unequal air distribution of the intake manifold.

EDIT: But like you mentioned. Do it again when the motor is at operating temperature. The variance of 2-3 to 1-4 looks large enough that it may maintain once it is warmed up though.

Ya I am hoping it comes up when it warms up.... I just have no other signs of the rings being hurt, No burning oil, No metal shavings, good vacuum at idle. So I will wait till its warm and check again. I also will be moving the Boost Controller closer to the Wastegate for better boost control. Fingers crossed The rings tighten up....

Naw waiting for the o2 sensor to come in tomorrow then start it an warm it up, followed by another compression check. If the numbers are on the lower end the saving will begin for a motor build or purchase we will see :D But I will still run it until I can afford it just not beat on it.

I hear you...you can easily find one used or I've heard others looking for one...they're like $90 - 100.

Well the Girl Runs!!!! It was late at night to let her warm right up as I need a gasket from the DP to the CBE but she purrs like a pissed off kitten! Gonna warm her up tomorrow and do a compression check but I was pulling 20 mm/HG of Vacuum which is a good sign :D

I'm glad you got all that figured out because im next in line lol, talked to DJ and he will start working on the DP and INTAKE and the tid bits.
My car is the same color as you.. i dont have a lip or grill yet.. my rims are painted black so atleast we wont be identical.
Can't wait to see it at a meet.
