The Mobil 1 Time-Attack 2 day school still has some openings for our May 5-6 weekend at the Driver Development Track at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport)

This is the only ASN/FIA sanctioned Time-Attack school in Ontario and features 2 full days of classroom, skid pad and track time. We pride ourselves on using certified instructors for a very busy program. The aim of the school is to teach people how to enjoy their cars at speed in a safe environment while learning about braking, oversteer, understeer, car control and car preparation as well as how to learn a new race track. At the end of the school we have trouble getting the grins off most students' faces.

Please note, this is not a RACE school but more of an HPDE school.

Successful completion of the school puts a student well down the path to removing the rookie triangle required for novices in Time-Attack events.

Cost is $500 (HST included) for 2 days including lunch both days, dinner on Saturday and a $50 discount to be applied to running in a Mobil1 Time-Attack event.

For more information either contact me or for registration go to www.time-attack.ca

Just to clarify a thing or two, successful completion of this school means that a competitor does not need to carry a Rookie triangle or go through the rookie sign off procedure for any future events at DDT, SMP, TMP or Grand Bend. You can still have an instructor at these events if you want but it is not necessary.

OTOH anyone can compete in a Mobil 1 Time-Attack series event without experience (except those at the Grand Prix track at Mosport, now known as Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) but what you learn at the 2 day school far surpasses what you would pick up in the morning lapping sessions.

Historically, about half of the students at the school do not compete in the series but still find the HPDE well worth it. (We do admit to having the ulterior motive of getting you addicted to Time-Attack..... but it isn't necessary)

Just in case you missed the OTA school and were interested in next year see http://www.casc.on.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=25161

BTW the Mobil 1 Time-Attack series is also offering a school at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Grand Prix track in late July. This school is not intended for beginners but if you have some track experience, you will get some great pointers on running the fastest circuit in North America and 3rd fastest road circuit in the world after Monza and Spa.
