So I'm going to be putting on a set of 18" rims with 215/40 tires on it. I was wondering how much of a drop I can get without rubbing tires.

It depends on the offset of your wheels. The lesser the offset the more your wheels will stick out. I'm currently running 225/40/18 and a 45 offset rim and no rubbing at all.

Probably should mention that you're driving a 2010 model, those wheel gaps do give a bit more flexibility, but again, depends on how aggressive the offset is

I am currently running 215/45/18 on 2010+ speed rims and am dropped with prokits and stock struts and shocks. I have no issue at all with rubbing. I have a fingers gap front and just a little mor in the back. Its about as close as you can get in the back when full loaded also.
