Like at my day gig, we partner up with other professionals in the field to provide a Team of Experts. Alex@Stratified [maker of the Guadian Angel Overboost Protection device], or Lex on MSF has written a lengthy and detailed discussion regarding KR or knock retard. This is something I have been personally explaining to MSpeed's client's and now that Lex has summarized it into a post, I believe you guys should have a look at it. Something to note: the difference between true kncok, knock retard, and pulled timing.

Read the post, found it very interesting. Particularly the explanation that a little knock is nothing to be scared of. As well, how to differentiate between mechanical/engine movement knock, and detonation knock.
Thanks for the link, articles like this really help me learn the concepts.

Thanks for posting this. I have a lot of questions come my way regarding KR and an explanation seemed in order. I have a few technical articles that I just haven't had a chance to put together but I plan on having these on my now out of date blog (http://www.stratifiedauto.com/blog/).
